Top 25 MA Degrees Online

For some reason it is much easier to find a Master of Science or ms degree online than it is a Master of Arts (MA).  It probably has something to do with the arcane system of attaching names to degrees that stretches back to the organization of universities centuries ago.  In any case our selection of degrees is taken from schools that are respected for their educational quality and that have established their academic credentials beyond question.  The selection of degree choices includes some that are relatively unusual, but the goal is to illustrate the range of graduate programs you can find online if you spend some time searching.  Online graduate education is expanding every year with the inclusion of newly participating universities and degree programs that have been expanded to include an online version.

  1. Master of Arts in Corporate Communications from Austin Peay State University in Texas is an alternative to the MBA programs with communications specialization.  This course of study delves deeply into all of the media tools available for business communications today.

Related Questions & Answers

Q: What is the difference between an MA degree and an MS degree for the Psychology field?
A: This is an interesting question. My son is currently in college, and despite the fact he is majoring in film, he will be earning a BS degree. Why? Because the university requires foreign language to earn a BA! He is learning disabled in a way that learning a foreign language would be impossible for him. Another data point, I attended a liberal arts college, and despite having a double major in Math and Astronomy, I earned a BA, since that was all the college offered at that time. The degree has not affected my job prospects. My advice to you is to talk to someone at the career office at either the school you attend, or the one you want to attend, and ask them this question - they should have a feel for if this affects jobs in counseling. I suspect not, but it is better to ask the question and get an answer than assume everything is fine and find out later it is a problem! Good luck!

  • Can you study short courses during a MA degree? Grad school is extremely demanding and very time consuming. You don't have time.
