There are several careers in this field that a master's in business administration can prepare you for, especially if you choose to specialize in financial topics. Since this is such a major industry, you are likely to experience more job security than what might be possible in other industries. Here are some graduate level careers you might consider if you enjoy business.

1. Advertising

Advertising professionals are responsible for handling ad campaigns for companies. They can work in companies that are designed specifically to create advertisements for other companies, as well as media firms. Some companies that advertise a great deal even choose to put together their own advertising department. Advertising managers work with marketing managers to promote a company's products or services. That makes advertising a very flexible career and one that is sure to be around for years to come.

2. Management

As an administrative service manager, you will coordinate the services that allow a business to run smoothly. You will also be in charge of the operations that meet the needs of all the departments in your company. A master's in business administration can prepare you for this job. Specific duties can vary in this career, but they may include the negotiation of contracts related to sales and purchases, or the acquisition of equipment or other supplies.

3. Public Relations

A graduate degree in public relations, or a related field such as communications or journalism, can prepare you for a rewarding career in business-related fields. As a public relations specialist, you would have a great deal of control in the image of a company that is presented to the world. The way people perceive a company can affect the company's profitability. If you want to work closely with the business world, this career might be for you. Keep in mind that your duties will probably vary among your clients.

4. Financial Analyst

A financial analyst usually works in the research department of a securities firm. They are responsible for reviewing financial statements and evaluating market trends. Then, they make recommendations to the company about the profits that can be received from the company's investments. Analysts who work in large firms generally choose to specialize in one particular area. This might be a career for you if you enjoy working with money or studying market trends.

5. Stock Broker

A stock broker is responsible for advising people or companies about which investments to make based on their needs and monetary ability. Once an agreement is made, the broker electronically sends the order, which completes the business transaction. This is a fast paced career that can be stressful, but it might be worth it if you enjoy working in this type of environment. Investments are important to the economy, so there will most likely always be a need for this type of job
