The University of Alabama College of Human Environmental Studies:

Master of Arts in Health Studies:
This is a graduate program for qualified students who would like to gain an advanced understanding of issues in public health promotion and education. Students begin with a core education in current issues related to public policy, risks of illness, and common preventative measures. Students declare individual areas of study. Students then work closely with faculty advisors to complete independent and clinical research projects. Students are tested often so that they may demonstrate advanced understanding of key concepts and ideas. Students work closely with faculty to successfully complete master's thesis papers related to their individual areas of study. Students who complete this degree are qualified to work in a number of different health promotion, health education, and public policy positions. Students may also apply to PhD degree programs.
PhD in Health Education/Promotion:
This is an advanced graduate degree program for students who would like to gain an advanced understanding of key issues, theories, and methods in health education and promotion. Students begin the program by declaring individual areas of research and concentration. Students then continue with advanced study of key concepts and ideas. Students work closely with faculty advisors to complete PhD dissertations that are then presented and defended before an academic panel. Students who complete this program become university researchers and teachers or work in high level government and public organizations, writing and influencing public health policy.

University of North Alabama Department of Health:
This is known as a great department for getting your foot in the door and working closely with faculty to complete degree programs and begin careers. The department offers a number of degrees that have real-world practical applications. The school also offers a number of opportunities for students to get promotional experience and use cutting-edge technology, software, and research methods.
Master of Arts in Health Promotion:
