Students declare individual areas of concentration and begin the program by further exploring the core public health issues and ideas. Students then engage in clinical research and work closely with faculty advisors to complete PhD dissertations relevant to their individual areas of concentration. Students who complete this degree program may continue research and teach at the university and college level. They may also serve in a variety of high-level administrative and advisory positions in the health profession.
