University of Northern Colorado
The University of Northern Colorado is located in the beautiful friendly town of Greely Colorado. With a student population of over 12,000 and a faculty of over 400, the size of the university large is enough to provide great opportunities, but also small enough to allow for personal interaction between students and staff. The school was founded in 1889 as the State Normal School of Colorado, and after a series of name changes, in 1970 it was changed to the University of Northern Colorado.
Master of Accounting - MAcc
The Monfort College of Business on the University of Northern Colorado campus will begin offering a Master of Accounting Degree starting in fall of 2010. The program will meet the 150 hour coursework requirement for most states for licensing as a Certified Public Accountant. The program will also allow accounting students to enrich their accounting research skills, communication skills, problem-solving techniques and other areas that are needed for one to be a successful accountant in public, private or government positions.

University of Colorado Denver
The University of Colorado at Denver originally was an extension of the University at Boulder. In 1974 it became a separate campus. It now has two campuses the main one in Denver and another in Aurora. Between the two campuses there is 352 acres of land for the University's use. Today they have over 4,000 faculty members and students number over 29,000. The University has more than 119 degree programs and 13 schools that offer hands-on, real-world education. Between the educational benefits and the beautiful setting in Denver, it is an attractive school to those who want to make a difference, whether they are students, researchers or faculty.
Master of Science in Accounting
The Business School at the University of Colorado Denver, offers a variety of options for beginning a career in accounting or advancing a current one. Students who are working towards a MS in Accounting can experience great flexibility in designing their program to meet their career objectives. There are several secondary areas of study that a student can incorporate into their program such as, finance, financial management, information systems, entrepreneurship, health management, marketing and management.
The University also has four options that allow students to specialize their degree. These are Accounting and Information Systems Audit Control, Auditing and Forensic Accounting, Financial Accounting and Taxation.
