PhD in Nursing:

This program is for students who have already completed master degrees in nursing. These students begin by declaring individual areas of concentration. Students then continue the exploration and research of the key nursing topics and issues begun in the master program. Students work closely with faculty members, who direct them toward completion of their PhD dissertations, which must be defended before an academic panel. Students who complete this program take leadership and high-level administrative positions in the nursing profession. They may write or influence policy. They may also continue research and take faculty positions in nursing colleges.

This school is reputable for its small class sizes and dedicated faculty who work closely with students to help them find the best career paths. This school offers a number of options when it comes to concentrations and areas of expertise. Students may also study for a number of different degrees.
