University of Wyoming’s Graduate Psychology Programs
If you’re looking for a small graduate program that will allow you to work very closely with faculty advisors who are also interested in your area of research, the University of Wyoming offers one of the most intimate doctoral programs in the nation. Only four to six students are accepted into the clinical psychology program and only one to four students are enrolled in the experimental program. Despite its small size, the graduate psychology program at the University of Wyoming has been ranked among some of the top schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
Ph.D in Clinical Psychology
Consisting of a four academic years spent studying and researching on campus, and a year-long, pre-doctoral internship the doctoral program in Clinical Psychology has been fully accredited by the American Psychological Association. Students accepted into this program will have the ability to expand their skills to include research methodology and the ability to carry out an independent study; and understanding of psychological science and the ways that it relates to individual areas of interest like neuroscience, psychopathology and psychotherapy. Upon graduation, candidates will be fully equipped to apply the theories and techniques they learned in the classroom to inform their clinical work.
Ph.D in Experimental Psychology
This doctoral program is designed to provide a training ground for those that would like to specialize in areas of research including but not limited to: developmental psychology, social psychology, and biological/cognitive psychology.
