Boise State University's Graduate Education Programs

The College of Education at BSU is committed to preparing professional educators with the use of models to incorporate integrated teaching and learning practices. This ensures graduates have a high level of knowledge and skill, commitment to democratic values, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction

This doctoral program, which leads to obtaining an Ed.D. degree, is designed to develop graduates who will be effective leaders in the improvement of current educational situations. This is the only doctorate degree offered by the College of Education and is now in its 10th year.

Master's in Education, Early Childhood Studies

This 33-credit program offers general courses that all master's candidates must complete, specialized childhood studies courses, and three options for capstone experience. These are a thesis, a project or a written comprehensive examination. Students will receive an M.A. for the thesis option only and an M.Ed. is earned for the project and comprehensive exam options.

Idaho State University's Graduate Education Programs

ISU's College of Education is a dynamic, progressive, and continually evolving college that acts to prepare teachers for excellence in the Idaho school system. The faculty and staff are dedicated to the concept of "By Teaching We Learn," a philosophy that is purposefully embedded throughout all programs.

Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership

This program includes courses like Advanced Statistics in Education, Instructional Technology, and Conditions of Learning & Teaching. Students must maintain a 3.2 GPA to qualify for the degree.

Master of Education Program in Educational Administration

A bachelor's degree is required for acceptance. Core courses include Theories of Learning, School Law, and Supervision of Instruction.
