Idaho State University School of Nursing:

This school of nursing is known for the hands-on training and professional experience it offers its students. The school offers a variety of concentrations and areas of studies for students. The school offers undergraduate degrees and a number of graduate degrees in the nursing field. Master of Science - Clinical Nurse Leaders:

This program is for students who have undergraduate degrees in nursing or who have been qualified as Registered Nurses. The program begins with courses in a core nursing education. Students learn about health care administration, working with certain populations, health care promotion, and health care education. Master of Science - Family Nurse Practitioner

This program also takes place mainly online and begins with a core nursing education. These graduate students learn about emergency and clinical work and decision making. Students learn about current issues and challenges in today's health industry. They learn how to care for and counsel members of certain populations. They also focus on critical decision making and educated responses to challenges and obstacles.

This department is committed to training top nursing professionals in a number of concentrations of study. Students here participate in learning groups and community organizations that both strengthen their relationship with the nursing and health community and allow the school to maintain its goal of dedicated excellence. The school focuses on diversity and communication among cultures and countries and offers a number of different undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Master of Science in Nursing:

This program is for graduate students who already have strong backgrounds in nursing. Students choose an area of concentration, such as clinical nurse leader or nurse education. The program begin with a core education that comes in the form of a number of classes that cover issues such as health education, health promotion, illness and risk, nurse leadership and administration, and caring for certain populations. Students must perform a certain number of hours of clinical internship work. Students also work closely with faculty to complete independent projects. Students who complete this degree program step into leadership and administrative roles. Others pursue PhD degrees.
