Master of Public Health - Behavioral and Community Health Science:

This is a program for graduate students who are interested in studying the relationships between communities and health. Students begin by declaring areas of interest and concentration. Students then take core classes that describe current research methods, issues, and theories related to public health contexts. Students then continue study of community behaviors and how they relate to health communication, education, and prevention. Students work with faculty members to complete independent papers and research projects. Students who complete this program fill positions in which they work closely within communities to promote health and communicate the importance of health education.

Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine:

Located in New Orleans, this school allows students to specialize in a number of urban and multicultural health issues and methods. Students learn from classroom lessons and clinical fieldwork in community institutions and organizations. The school offers a number of graduate and undergraduate programs for students who are looking to enter a facet of the public health profession.
