Masters in Labor Relations

If one studies for a Masters in Labor Relations, one studies the basics of business law and business practice. One masters the art of negotiation on behalf of both employers and employees and learns arbitration skills. Students will also learn how to negotiate on behalf of labor unions. Students are given exams to show knowledge and understanding of business law, business ethics and procedure, and business-employee relations. At the end of the program, which normally lasts for two years, students are expected to present a dissertation that includes a hypothesis, which must then be proven and defended. Students will normally specialize in one particular labor relations issue.
