Masters in Organizational Leadership Salaries

Masters in Organizational Leadership Salaries

The best we can do in defining a salary range for this degree is to sample jobs that fit with the skills provided by organizational leadership training. There are organizational development experts working in every business sector today and in many of the public sector agencies as well. Organizational leadership is one of the primary areas of specialization for the Masters in Education degree, but that is just one area where professionals in this field are needed. Working in organizational development can mean many things and there are several areas of expertise associated with it. Change management is one of the most challenging of organizational leadership tasks. The domestic economy and global business in general are both in an enormous transitory period, which makes organizational leadership professionals important employees. Our salary figures have been collected from the U.S. Department of Labor or from Payscale.com.

1. Organizational Development Director has a salary range of $83,127 - $146,025. That's an average salary of $113,000. That's also a senior position, which a graduate from a Masters in Organizational Leadership program should hold. A consultant in the field earns a more modest $80,000 per year, on the average.

2. Change Management Specialist has a pay range of $63,901 - $109,586 according to Payscale.com. That's an enormous range, with an average pay of about $86,000. The salary range seems to be consistent through several business sectors including financial services, information technology, and management consulting.

3. Management Consultant can mean any number of professional roles, but once again a graduate degree in organizational management should allow for a senior position with a few years' experience. The salary range for this position is $67,469 - $131,690. That's an average of just over $100,000. A management consultant working in the field of business processes averages about $86,000; the assumption is that this position would be as a team member, while the senior professional leads the team.

4. Operations Director in a production setting has a salary range of $52,141 - $99,652. The average for this position is about $76,000. A regional operations director earns an average of $111,000, which is where someone with leadership training should be deployed. Operations management crosses into a number of professional areas today in our non-industrial economy; in many businesses operations control is essentially an IT job.

5. Supply Chain Management Director is a senior position with a salary range of $101,123 - $161,105. That's an impressive average of about $132,000. It's also a position that would be in a large and complex organization and would require some business training as well as organizational expertise. A graduate with a MBA in Organizational Leadership would be ideal for this role.
