University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Community Health Science

The School of Community Health Science at the University of Nevada works to prepare students for the challenges of a career in the public health sector. Students are given the skills and education needed to be effective leaders at the local, state or national level.

Master of Public Health

Students seeking to become public health professionals will be served with this Master's degree program. The program consists of 18 credits of core requirements and then students can specialize in Health Promotion, Environmental and Occupational Health, Health Care Administration and Policy, and Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

Ph. D in Public Health

This degree program works to infuse students with advanced analytical and conceptual capabilities needed for careers in university teaching, research, policy development and other careers where high level thinking is required. After completing core requirements, students can branch off into Environmental and Occupational Health emphasis. Additional concentrations will be coming soon.

University of Nevada Reno School of Community Health Sciences

The School of Community Health Sciences at the University of Nevada integrates ethics, physical activity, traditional public health disciplines, and community interaction to produce degree programs that produces students who are able to assess and handle the public health needs of the community.

Master of Public Health

Developed in partnership with UNLV, the MPH program and UNR teaches students how to be effective public health professionals. Once the core classes are completed, students can specialize in Epidemiology or Social Behavioral Health. After graduation, students can pursue a career in the public health area or continue on to acquire a Ph.D in Public Health at UNR.
