Master of Social Work
Ohio State University offers a graduate degree program in Social Work. It is a part time program designed for employed students or students with limited time. The program uses academics and hands on training to provide students with a foundation of knowledge, professional values, and core competencies necessary to function effectively in the field.

Ph. D in Social Work

Students with a Master in Social Work or other social science and professional degrees can enter this Ph. D program to develop knowledge and skills needed to become researchers and educators in the field of social work. Graduates are able to enter employment as teachers, college faculty, researchers in the public and private sectors, among other things.

The Department of Social Work at Ohio University works to train students who are able to become leaders in their fields as well as possess the skills to facilitate improvement in the quality of life for individuals and society at large.

Master of Social Work

This MSW program combines foundational knowledge with a focus on evidence based research and theories to produce professionals who are able to handle social problems on a variety of levels. In addition to the core curriculum, students are able to take elective classes that let them concentrate on specific social issues such as abuse or substance abuse.
