• US News and World Report ranks USC 23rd best among the national universities in the United States. National universities are defined as schools that offer doctoral programs and that have a meaningful amount of research activity associated with the campus. • School of Public Policy & Development ranks seventh nationwide among graduate schools for public affairs, according to U.S. News & World Report. It also ranks 5th in public management/administration. • The Marshall School of Business is ranked 20th in the nation by US News & World Report. • The School of Social Work is ranked 8th in the country by US News & World Report. • Viterbi School of Engineering is ranked 10th in the nation by US News & World Report.

Regional Accreditation: USC is regionally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the regional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for colleges and universities in the Western states.

Public Policy and Public Affairs Accreditation: The School of Public Policy & Development and the MPA degree are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA).

Engineering Accreditation: The Viterbi School of Engineering is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and various accrediting subdivisions overseen by ABET including the fields of computer science and other technology specializations.
