Other Related Questions & Answers

  • What are some excellent engineering schools with Division 2 or 3 or NAIA football teams? MIT.

You need to google Div 2 and 3 and other leagues. Find the schools in those leagues. Also google engineering school evaluations, such as at US News and World Report. Compare the list.

    Good luck.
  • How much will the school I graduate from in comp-sci or comp-eng impact my future employment? No. Whether you can speak an Asian language and be willing to transfer to India will.
  • can i get into an engineering graduate program with these credentials? Generally, you need a 3.5 for unconditional acceptance.

You probably know the GRE is not a good predictor of graduate engineering performance, so you should take and pass the EIT/FE exam to convince the selectors that you know your undergrad stuff.
  • How do UW engr. graduates' job prospects compare to those of other graduates? Dont let anyone say that whatever school you go into will dictate how you do for the rest of your life. A better school might help you get your foot in the door for entry level jobs, but particular to engineering, if you dont know it or aren't able to learn on the job, you might get eaten alive. But with engineering, its a lot about experience. Remember, you're trying to get a job, not trying to show off the school your from. Most jobs will take the person with experience in the field, working with various people, and learning how things work, over the guy who spent 4+ years in college with no experience whatsoever.

Another piece of helpful advice... You probably use 10% of what you learned in school to well at your job. The other 90% is common sense and stuff you learned on the job.
