Wisconsin Graduate Engineering Schools with Master’s and PhD Degree Programs

The Graduate School at Marquette University

Marquette University is ranked 126th in the United States. Although only 246 students are enrolled, the University offers a wide range of research and job opportunities, smaller classroom sizes, Jesuit ideals and a value based education. Here is a sampling of some of the degrees offered by the University.

Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering

Students who enroll in this degree program will gain knowledge and insight in the field of Biomedical engineering by taking core courses such as biomedical instrumentation, a technical elective and physiology. In addition to these courses, students will study biology, chemistry, engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics and computer science. Research is also required. In addition, students can choose to take the thesis or non thesis track.

Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering

Students who enroll in this degree program will gain in depth knowledge and insight in an area of specialization and sufficient training in research to function in any professional environment. As students progress through the program, they will conduct their own independent research. A Doctoral Requirement Program will be created and implemented and a residency must be completed. Students will take courses in physiology and research and teaching methodologies.

Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering

Students have the choice to pursue a thesis or non thesis track. Students who pursue the thesis track will complete course work in addition to participating in depth research. Those who choose the non thesis track will complete coursework only.

Doctor of Philosophy in Civil and Environmental Engineering

Students who wish to pursue this degree will complete extensive coursework and complete and submit an original dissertation.

Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Students who enroll in this degree program have a thesis and non thesis option. Students who choose the thesis option must complete required course work and then submit a proposal for an original thesis. Once it has been approved, students must conduct research to defend their thesis. Those who choose the non thesis option will take courses only. These students are required to take a Comprehensive Exam.

Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Those who purse this degree must complete core and elective courses. In addition to these courses, students will be required to complete a dissertation.

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Students who pursue this degree can choose a thesis or non thesis track. Students who wish to complete the thesis track must complete coursework in addition to creating and defending an original thesis. Those who choose a non thesis track must complete all the required coursework and pass a Comprehensive Exam

Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering

Students must successfully create, present and defend a dissertation. They must also complete their required coursework and residency.

A: Honestly, it is already too late for all of those schools. If you get a 4.0 for every semester from here on in, then you will only have a 3.1 GPA when you graduate. This is nowhere near good enough for any of those schools.

    To answer your question, you seem pretty well rounded. I would say that you have a good chance of not only being accepted, but getting scholarships to the school of your choice.
