Wyoming Graduate Accounting Schools with Master’s and PhD Degree Programs

This is the only school in Wyoming that offers a graduate accounting degree. The school believes in the practical application of business theories and ideas. The school offers a wide variety of business studies and concentrations for the business student. These classes include both undergraduate and graduate studies. The school also had programs developed for working professionals who cannot afford to drop out of the workforce in order to pursue higher education degrees. These programs have flexible schedules and evening classes so that students can go to work and care for their families while studying in the degree programs. The school allows students to prepare for their professions by allowing them to work closely with faculty members. Students concentrate on the specializations of their choice while also working in the broader scope of the business world. The school also offers internship opportunities for students who want real world experience before beginning their careers.
Master of Science in Accountancy
This program begins with the core education of a business program. Students take classes in finance, economic though, marketing, management, and leadership. Students gain an advanced understanding of business thought that was begun in the undergraduate program. Students also begin to apply these theories to real world scenarios. Students participate in internships, which allow them to not only get real world experience, but also to learn how classroom training can be applied to the accounting profession. The program not only develops capable accountants who excel in their positions, but also accountants who are ready to become leaders and take on the challenges of today’s business world. Students learn business ethics, business law, and tax law. They study fraud and audit analysis. This creates accountants who are prepared to follow the law while making a difference in today’s corporate environment. Students are prepared to work in a number of different businesses and industries. Some students work for small companies. Other students work in larger corporations. While this school does not offer a PhD in Accountancy, some students use this master program to prepare for a PhD. This degree allows students to teach accounting at the college level. Students may also prepare for the CPA exam. CPA stands for Certified Public Accountant. It should be noted that every state requires a different number of course requirements before a student can take the CPA exam. Therefore, students are advised to check with officials in the state in which they plan on taking the CPA exam. Students are introduced to professionals from a number of different business and global corporations while in this program. Students also have the opportunity to work in a local business.
