Wyoming Graduate Counseling Schools with Master’s and PhD Degree Programs

This college is located in Laramie, Wyoming. It provides a peaceful and beautiful backdrop for students and faculty. This is the only graduate education college in the state of Wyoming and considered one of the best public colleges of education in the country. The school provides a number of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The school also offers a number of programs for working professionals in the education field who would like to move up in their careers but who cannot afford to drop out of the workforce. These programs are designed for maximum flexibility. The courses are taken online and on-campus on the weekends. The school also provides a number of internship and experiential education opportunities. These are what allow undergraduate and graduate students to get a grasp on the education field while they are still in school by getting hands-on experience. The school also has a great faculty. The faculty consists of experienced professionals who are also scholars in their fields. These faculty members work closely with students at all levels to prepare them to complete their degrees and prepare to enter the professional world. The college of education offers undergraduate, master, and PhD degrees. It also offers a number of professional certification programs.
Master of Education in Counseling:
This program is for students who are interested in entering the school counseling profession. Students must first pick areas of concentration. They may decide to work with elementary students, secondary high school students, or with students who have special needs do to mental conditions. Graduate students will begin the program by learning through core counseling courses. These are courses that teach students about key issues in the field, such as economic factors, social factors, and mental health factors. Students will also learn about administrative and policy issues. The students in this program will work closely with faculty advisors who will help direct the student’s education. Students will work on independent projects. Sometime master thesis papers will be expected. Students may have to take classes in other departments or schools, depending on their independent study. Students may have to take classes in psychology, sociology, or economics. Students will also participate in a number of hours of clinical work. This is the experiential portion of the program. Students will use this clinical experience to help them complete their own research projects and also to experience the job as professionals. Students will continue to meet with faculty advisors and other students to engage in discussions concerning issues in the counseling field today. Students who complete this program will be qualified to act as school counselors. They will also have to option to pursue PhD degrees at other schools.
